One sure way to grow in holiness is to make a special consecration to Jesus through Mary or Saint Joseph. During this Lent, there are several ways to join in this special consecration:

Consecration to Mary

There will be two groups walking through consecration to Jesus through Mary using Fr. Michael Gaitley’s book 33 Days to Morning Glory. Both groups will start the daily preparation readings on 2/20 and finish with the consecration during a Holy Hour at 7:00 pm on the Feast of the Annunciation on 3/25.

Consecration to Joseph

In this year of St. Joseph we’re inviting all parishioners to consider making a consecration to Jesus through St. Joseph using the book Consecration to St. Joseph: The Wonders of Our Spiritual Father by Fr. Donald Calloway.  Preparation for consecration lasts 33 days and will begin on Monday, February 15 with the date of consecration being Friday March 19th, the Solemnity of Saint Joseph.

Each day of preparation includes reading a section of the book that focuses on one of the invocations in the Litany of St. Joseph. Each reading can be completed in roughly 15-30 minutes. Preparation and consecration can be done individually, as couples, or as a family.

For those looking for added fellowship and inspiration, there will be a weekly livestream on Facebook and YouTube with Fr. Nicholas Akindele through his apostolate Vinumn non Habent. The first livestream will be Monday, February 15th at 7:00pm and for ensuing weeks it will be on Sundays at 3:00pm.

There are some books that have been provided through donation and are available in the parish office. Otherwise, books can be ordered either as a physical copy or as an electronic copy online…
