The most frequent information need mentioned in our recent campaign planning study was the clarification of one Bettendorf Catholic Church.

Bishop Zinkula’s hope is that Our Lady of Lourdes and St. John Vianney will unite into one church. As was shared in the “State of the Parish” report presented at masses the weekend of Dec. 3-4, that is the vision. This will not happen overnight. It may take several years. However, having a vision for our future is paramount. Working together, we can expand upon what our ultimate vision may become and, through prayer, trust in the Lord, and a lot of work, make this vision a reality.

At the same time, we must take action. The planning study results showed great – albeit cautious – enthusiasm for our plans to build a new school. This priority is first and foremost. Look for more information to come in the weeks ahead.
