My name is Jacqueline "Jackie" Rouse and I have been the librarian at Lourdes Catholic School for 23 years!  It's a wonderful place to work/play (I also do recess duty:) and I have truly enjoyed getting to know all the students and their families, as well as the friendly staff!  I enjoy finding the perfect book for each student and teaching them to utilize our library, the AEA and our public library to the fullest. Each year I've been blessed to have an enthusiastic group of volunteers and I could never get my job done without each one of them!  A big Thank You if you are that volunteer and an invitation to those who haven't gotten the opportunity to help out yet:) I received my Bachelor's degree from the University of Missouri - Columbia and my MLIS (Masters of Library and Information  Science) from the University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee and have enjoyed numerous continuing education classes from our local AEA and Drake University. My husband, Kurt and I have two daughters; Angela and her husband Julio live in New York City and Shelby who resides in Dallas, Texas. We also have a very energetic hunting dog named Oz. My passions include cycling, community service, travel and my family.  I've participated in several weeklong international Habitat Builds, rode by bike across the U.S. (along with Mrs. Mesick) with the Fuller Center https://www.fullercenterbikeadventure.org and spend most Fridays volunteering at the Friendly Thrift Center.  I've been known to say, "I work part-time for Lourdes and the rest of my time for the Lord" and am so grateful to serve both!
