Tuesday June 25, 2024 His Holiness Pope Francis announced the appointment of Bishop-Elect Dennis G. Walsh from the Diocese of Toledo as the new Bishop for the Roman Catholic Diocese of Davenport, Iowa.

Bishop-Elect Walsh will become the 10th Bishop of the Diocese of Davenport which was established in 1881 and contains over 83,000 Catholics and 74 parishes throughout the southeast quarter of the state. His ordination and installation is scheduled for Friday, September 27 at a time and location to be determined.
