Over the past several months, our parishes have been engaged in prayer, conversation, and discernment about our future. Our Finance Councils and Pastoral Councils of both parishes affirmed the recommendation of the trustees and Father Rich to move forward with a formal request to Bishop Walsh.
This request asks to unite our parish structures as one parish, to be known as St. Joan of Arc Parish.
As part of this process, Bishop Walsh will host a public meeting for all parishioners on April 20 at 6:00pm at St. Joan of Arc Catholic School. Following this gathering, he will determine the next steps. We anticipate a decision by May 1, which would allow us to begin as a newly unified parish at the start of the next fiscal year on July 1.
This step would bring our parish structures and assets together as one parish family, while continuing to worship in our cur-rent two locations. At this time, no decisions are being made regarding parish facilities.
