The Finance Council helps to promote the financial health of the parish, assuring accountability and advising the pastor on financial matters.
Some of their responsibilities include:
- Helping with the preparation of the annual budget
- Monitoring financial reports and annual budget on a regular basis
- Assisting the pastor to present financial statements to the parish community
- Assisting in the implementation of acceptable internal control policies and procedures
