K-8 Program
Lourdes Catholic School provides a faith-filled and challenging learning environment for students from kindergarten through 8th grade. Students are encouraged to put their faith into action, develop skills for a successful life, and achieve their personal best. In addition to core academics, students receive a total mind, body, and spirit experience including music, art, computer technology, field trips, foreign languages, and physical education. 3-Year Old Preschool
2Day Preschool – This program meets Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8:30 – 11:30 a.m. The program presents a basic introduction to the school environment and develops both social and learning skills. It also includes fun religion lessons. Students should be three-years-old by September 15th and must be potty trained.
3Day Preschool – This program meets Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 8:30 – 11:30 a.m. Students work on the basic academic and social skills required for further school programs and include fun religion lessons. Students must be at least three-years-old by September 15 and must be potty trained. Four-year-olds may be accepted into this program.
4-Year Old Prekindergarten
Students must be four years old on or before September 15th in order to be enrolled in this program. It meets Monday through Friday at 8:30-11:30 a.m. OR 12:20-3:20 p.m. If your child is four years old on or before September 15 and lives in the State of Iowa, he or she qualifies for the state-funded program at Lourdes. Funding for the program is provided by the State of Iowa in support of the Statewide Voluntary Preschool Program. Tuition for ten hours of instruction per week is paid for by the state of Iowa. Registering for the LCS 4-Year Old Prekindergarten Program does not guarantee a free spot. Consideration is given to students in the following order: current LCS school families, Lourdes/Vianney parishioners, other Catholic parish families, and non-Catholic families. Extended Day Program
This extended day “Lourdes Little Lancers” program allows any preschool or prekindergarten student to enjoy a full day of activities at our Little Lancer Care Center, across from the main school campus. This program operates every day that school is in session.
Before & After School Programs
Child care is available before and after school every day that school is in session. This program runs from 7:00 – 8:00 a.m. and from 3:15 – 5:30 p.m. and is open to any student enrolled in kindergarten through 8th grade.
- Before and After School Care (BASC) is for students kindergarten through age 12.
- Before and After School Club (BAS Club) is for students ages 12 and up.
