My name is Jacob Hintze, and I’m happy to be at Lourdes for my eighth year. I received a dual-major in both Elementary Education and Middle-Level Education from the University of Northern Iowa. While at Lourdes, I’ve taught math and social studies for our middle school, as well as Religion and various exploratories. One of my favorite parts of teaching is having students use their creativity and talents to work on projects to share their knowledge.
When not teaching, I enjoy spending time with my family where we stay busy with all our activities. We welcomed a daughter into our family in July, and she keeps us all on our toes! My son is involved in several sports, including football, baseball, and basketball, and is also a Scout. I'm also a 'theatre dad' at the high school where my wife works as a Speech coach and director. We also enjoy spending time going to other shows – some of our favorites include Hamilton and Aladdin. I’m also an avid fan of the TV show Survivor and the Chicago Bears.
It’s my hope that all my students learn, grow, and enjoy their time here at Lourdes. Hopefully, they also leave with a greater appreciation for my great jokes, or as my wife would say “great” dad jokes.
