Hi! My name is Lisa Ewing. This is my first “official” year teaching at Lourdes, after having been a volunteer for the past four years. Before coming to Lourdes, I had taught at-risk teens in Davenport for eighteen years. I graduated with a degree in Industrial Technology from Truman State University and received my Master’s Degree in Teaching from Clarke University. I am excited to teach middle school religion! After converting to the Catholic faith in 2003, I have embraced all the history and tradition of our faith; continuing to soak up all I can read and learn. In 2019, I took my promises to enter the Salesian family as a Cooperator (lay member). I have made a commitment to spread the love of Christ to the young and there is no better way than the opportunities I have been given as a teacher and catechist at Our Lady of Lourdes. I am married to Ted and have two adult children. My daughter, Sarah, works for Per Mar Security and lives in the area. My son and daughter-in-law live in California, after having spent three years in Japan. My son works in IT at Naturipe, a farm conglomerate. He is an alumni of Lourdes Catholic School. My summers are spent horseback riding and walking my Irish Wolfhound, Grigio. Thank you to all for welcoming me over the past years and giving me a second home, and 300 grandchildren!
